Are
a road racing club for veteran riders around Melbourne. Cyclists become
eligible for membership at the age of 35 for males, and 30 years for
females. Racing is based on the Mornington Peninsula and West Gippsland
area where most of the winter road races are held from April to
September.. About 50% of these races are held on public roads for which
all necessary permits are obtained. The balance are held on our new
purpose built closed circuit at Casey Fields near Cranbourne. Distances
vary depending on the course but are generally in the range 50-80km.
Racing is conducted all year round. The summer season is held from
October to March where mainly criterion races are held. Criterion races
usually last from 1 to 2 hours and are held at Sandown Park Raceway on
a Thursday evening and on Sundays at either Casey Fields or one of our
metro controlled circuit. There is a wide range in age and ability of
competing riders.
