I noticed Rene's article on La Marmotte.  My wife (Liz Hall) and I were on the same Boot Camp as Rene and we also went to Bourg d'Oisans for the same race.  Liz did the full Marmotte and finished 52nd in the over 35 category.  I opted for the Mi-Marmotte, being more of a sprinter (a mere 2km of vertical climbing).

A week before we also did the Marco Pantani International Granfondo in Northern Italy.  We had to race 155km over La Gavia and Mortirolo.  Liz finished 4th in the 35-49 category and I limped home almost 2 hours later!

Liz has credited her faster descending skills to the Bright Boot Camp and this certainly helped her in the Haute Alpes!

We are planning on doing the boot camp again this year - more for the fun of it than any special training!  We hope to rope in a couple of our friends as well.
